Abstract
We present preliminary results from a new 1 Jansky blazar sample based on the cross-correlation between the 1.4 GHz NVSS catalog of radio sources and the ROSAT All-Sky Survey (RASS) list of soft (0.1-2 keV) X-ray sources. Since the radio flux limit of this sample is so large the vast majority of the sources (93%) are already identified as blazars in the literature and most of them have been observed at several frequencies. The NVSS-RASS 1 Jy sample includes 226 objects, 24 of which are BL Lacs or radio galaxies but with a SED typical of blazars. Here we present the preliminary radio LogN-LogS and Luminosity Function of BL Lacs and we compare them to the results of the 1 Jy survey of Stickel et al. (1991).
