Edited by Paolo Giommi, Enrico Massaro, Giorgio Palumbo. ESA-ESRIN, 2002. p. 47.We present the results of three simultaneous X-ray and optical observations of S5 0716+714, a highly variable BL Lac object, carried out with BeppoSAX and with a number of optical telescopes. Both the synchrotron and inverse Compton components have been detected. While the soft X-ray (synchrotron) component showed rapid variations simultaneously with optical flux changes, the hard (inverse Compton) component varied on much longer time scales.BeppoSAX Observations of S5 0716+714 in Different Intensity Stateshttp://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2002babs.conf...47N2002babs.conf...47N
