Among meteo events, there are strong rain precipitations and fast snow melting. As far as geophysical events are concerned, there are earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. In all cases, slope hydraulic conditions and level saturation are important elements in the landslides triggering, in particular for superficial landslides. Though an easy relationship between water contain in the most superficial layer of the soil and the hydraulic condition of the slope doesn’t exist, knowledge of the humidity conditions of the land surface are important in the landslide phenomena studies and in particular to their hazard. In the framework of MORFEO project, financed by the Italian Space Agency (ASI), it is underway an experimentation and an evaluation of new techniques of soil moisture retrieval based on EO data.itStima dell’umidità del suolo da dati EO a supporto del monitoraggio del rischio da franaconference paperhttp://atti.asita.it/Asita2009/Pdf/438.pdf54dcce0c8580fe1368eeb376
