Originally published in 2008ApJS..175...97HThe sample selection contents over 11000 flat-spectrum radio sources with interferometric measurements at ~1 and 8.4GHz from CRATES catalog (Healey et al., 2007, Cat. ) and NVSS (Condon et al., 1998, Cat. ). To complete the process of optical identification, we have conducted our own imaging campaign, primarily at the 5m Hale Telescope at Palomar, the 3.6m New Technology Telescope (NTT) at La Silla, and the 2.7m Harlan J. Smith Telescope at McDonald. The great workhorse of our spectroscopic effort has been the 9.2m Hobby-Eberly Telescope (HET) at McDonald.
