Advantages of Using SSM in the Frame of a Mission Preparation Environment

This paper describes a mission preparation environment, based on the Space System Model (SSM) concept, to be deployed in Kourou (French Guyana) in the frame of the control centre of the European launcher Vega, and explores the possibilities to transform this environment in a framework suitable to be reused for new space missions to come.
