Abstract
During the current AGILE pointing at the Vela region, started on 2008 June 30, SuperAGILE detects increasing hard X-ray emission from the Be transient binary pulsar GRO J1008-57, usually below the detection threshold on day-timescale. In the 20-60 keV energy range the source was detected at 30 mCrab level in the 24 hours starting on 2008 July 15 09 00 UT. In the subsequent 24 hours the average flux increased to 45 mCrab, and in the last 24 hours it rose to about 65 mCrab.
