Abstract
COSMO-SkyMed di Seconda Generazione (CSG) System can be defined as the follow-on mission to COSMOSkyMed (CSK) currently operating in orbit, aimed at assuring operational continuity and performance improvement in supplying the SAR imaging services through data and image products. The paper describes COSMO-SkyMed di Seconda Generazione image quality and end-To-end calibration approach that will be used during the commissioning and operational phases. Calibration and Validation (CALVAL) System Tool overview will be provided, describing its context diagram and subsystems (SECF-System Engineering Calibration Facility and Calibration scenarios). CSG calibration activities will be reported, explaining pointing, radiometric and geolocation calibration workflows. © VDE VERLAG GMBH · Berlin · Offenbach.
