R e s u l t s s h o w t h a t t h e u s e o f a p r i o r i k n o w l e d g e i s o f g r e a t i m p o r t a n c e f o r t h e e s t i m a t i o n o f L A I . I n t h i s w a y w e h a v e b e e n a b l e t o e s t i m a t e t h i s p a r a m e t e r w i t h a n a c c u r a c y o f a r o u n d 1 5 % ÷ 2 0 % f o r A l f a l f a , P o t a t o e s , a n d S u g a r B e e t s a m p l e s .
