Abstract
AGILE is detecting intense gamma-ray emission above 100 MeV at Galactic coordinates (l, b) = (12.7, -65.6) 1.0 deg (95% stat.) 0.1 deg (syst.) (R.A.,Dec.=(345.38, -32.85)deg, J2000). Integrating from 2011-05-14 03 00 UT to 2011-05-17 03 00 UT, a maximum likelihood analysis yields a detection at a significance level larger than 5 sigma and a flux above 200 x 10E-8 ph/cm2/s (E > 100 MeV).
