Abstract
Following the Fermi-LAT detection of a developing GeV flare in the period 2012 August 22-26 from the gravitationally lensed blazar S3 0218+35 (ATEL #4343), Swift observations were obtained on August 28 and 30 (5 ks exposures). These observations confirm that the blazar is also in a relatively high X-ray state in comparison to previous Swift observations obtained on 2008 December 12 (2.9 ks) and 2010 August 20 (2.3 ks).
