Publication AGILE detection of a flare from the FSRQ 3C 279(2014-08-01) ;Bulgarelli, A. ;Tavani, M. ;Fioretti, V.; ; ; ; AGILE is now detecting transient gamma-ray emission above 100 MeV from a source positionally consistent with the FSRQ 3C 279. Integrating from 2014-07-30 17 42 UT to 2014-08-02 17 23 UT, a preliminary maximum likelihood analysis yields a detection above 100 MeV positioned at Galactic coordinates (l,b) = (305.31, 57.02) +/- 0.6 (stat.) +/- 0.1 (syst.).Type:Astronomer's Telegram2 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Swift detection of a likely new SGR SGR 0755-2933(2016-03-01) ;Barthelmy, S. D.; ;Gehrels, N. ;Izzo, L. ;Kennea, J. A. ;Krimm, H. A. ;Palmer, D. M. ;Siegel, M. H. ;Ukwatta, T. N. ;GSFC ;ASDC ;NASA/GSFC ;URoma1 ;PSU ;CRESST/GFSC/USRA ;LANL ;PSULANLWe cross post this from GCN #19204, as we believe it will be of interest to the wider astronomical community. At 22 41 24 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and located a burst from an apparent new Soft Gamma Repeater, SGR 0755-2933 (trigger=679432).Type:Astronomer's Telegram2
